I guess since I'm the Featured Member, I should say something. Thanks to my dear homies at Clayversity for steering me here. Otherwise I wouldn't have known that I'm a VIP here, if only for a day.
It's a typical Central California summer night -- very warm and very atmospheric in that there is something earthy and comforting in a place where the nightsounds are not man-made.
I guess I should feel sorry for myself, since the elusive Jukebox Tour is a continent away with not even a hint of a hipshake in this direction. I feel that I'm missing out on the first tour since the club emerged, the first appearance of a handsome and maturing Clay since his long spring nap, the first contests for meet and greets and front row seats. I coulda been a contender, ya know. But I don't whine and I make lemonade, hoping for a better view next time around. The tour looks delightful, even from this distance.
I go back to school next week -- setting up the easels and the tools for making art, decorating the walls with Old Masters and new surrealism and maybe one Clay Aiken calendar -- all art in diverse forms of expressive beauty. I try to keep it real in the art room.
And that's it for me tonight. It's time to put my feet up and spend some quality time with my most handsome weiner dog who waits at my feet.
This is my second attempt at adding an entry. The last one disintegrated into cyberspace when I hit the "add entry" bar. And I was much more eloquent the first time! So here goes.
